REPORTS TO: Director of SAFE-T
The George Hull Centre is pleased to be launching the Sexual Abuse Family Education Treatment Program (SAFE-T) and is currently looking for two experienced Clinical Managers to join our team.
The SAFE-T Program is a specialized community-based clinic that provides evidence-based assessment and treatment services for: children and youth who have experienced intrafamilial sexual abuse; children with concerning sexual behaviours and youth who have engaged in sexually harming behaviours within their families and/or the community. The SAFE-T Program also provides consultation & training and conducts research.
The Clinical Managers will collaborate closely with the SAFE-T Program Director and the Director of Clinical Services & Research to deliver and further develop evidence-based, specialized sexual abuse-specific, multidisciplinary mental health services to children, youth and their families.
The Clinical Managers will represent the SAFE-T Program and the George Hull Centre on community committees and cultivate/foster partnerships with stakeholders to assist in the development of children’s mental health services. The Managers will carry a partial caseload and provide specialized training and consultation within the SAFE-T Program, the George Hull Centre and the community as required.
Each Clinical Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a cohesive multidisciplinary team whose individual and collective efforts work for the benefit of the clients. This will include but is not limited to:
- Managing and providing supervision to their teams to ensure quality of care for clients.
- Recruiting, hiring, and training new clinical staff
- Conducting performance evaluations and collaborating with team members to create individual staff development plans.
- Assigning cases to clinicians and working closely with SAFE-T’s Service & Training Navigator to ensure an efficient intake process for clients.
- Reporting of serious occurrence, disciplinary procedures, and if necessary, handling of grievances at stage one, in consultation with SAFE-T’s Director of Clinical Services & Research and Program Director.
- A master’s degree in social work or equivalent. Membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
- Extensive experience and training in child sexual abuse, sexual behaviors in children, adolescent sexual offending, comprehensive sexual abuse-specific assessment and treatment
- Excellent clinical leadership and supervision skills gained through years of progressively responsible practice and management experience in child & youth mental health services
- Ability to provide specialized training and consultation within the centre and community
- Ability to develop cohesive and collaborative staff teams.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities as well as proficiency in computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- High degree of organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of statutes and regulations pertinent to children’s mental health services (i.e. Child, Youth and Family Services Act. & Youth Criminal Justice Act).
- Willingness to collaborate and participate on research and program evaluation projects.

Hours of work: 36.25 hours/week including flexible hours and some evening work
