Pay range: $77,557 to $92,512 annually
Position Grade: 9

SFU's Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue uses dialogue and engagement to facilitate transformative conversations and create real-world impact for society’s most pressing challenges. We strengthen Canadian democracy by promoting democratic values and participation, exchange good practices by providing dialogue training and tools, and help governments to engage residents and stakeholders through our consulting services.

Join the Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue as our Manager of Special Projects, where you will help to deliver signature events such as the Jack P. Blaney Award for Dialogue, act as a consultant on public engagement project for government clients and work with community partners on grant-funded initiatives. 
Full Job Description 

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and five years of relevant experience in areas such as stakeholder engagement, public participation, Indigenous dialogue methods, public policy, project management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, professional certifications and experience.

  • Advanced knowledge in designing and implementing a wide range of dialogue and engagement processes, including working with government partners and clients (local, provincial, national and Indigenous).
  • Excellent knowledge of participatory engagement processes, including working with stakeholders, rightsholders, residents and groups traditionally under-served by government or facing barriers to participation.
  • Advanced project management, budget planning, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of creating culturally appropriate spaces and contexts (social and historical) for engagement between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
  • Excellent knowledge of good practices for inter-cultural engagement, including cultural literacy in the norms of diverse communities in Metro Vancouver and across Canada.
