Family Services Perth-Huron invites applications for the following position:
Social Worker - Violence Against Women Program Coordinator
One year full-time contract - Possibility of extension
The successful applicant will provide individual, couple, and family counselling to clients of varying ages and circumstances with a focus on women and children who have experienced abuse. The applicant with be comfortable with public speaking, advocacy and community development. This position requires the management of statistical program information, community committee involvement, budget review, psycho-educational group facilitation, and collaborative work with community partners.
Flexibility in hours of work, including working one evening per week and up to 3 weekends per year; some travel may be required.
Qualifications: M.S.W. or equivalency. Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists. Use of a vehicle and valid drivers licence are required.
