About this position
Communications

Integrate and develop new and updated content on the CBCN website and coordinate translation as needed.

Coordinate all CBCN social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), source appropriate content, develop social media schedule and implement.

Coordinate all CBCN social media campaigns.

Coordinate CBCN’s participation in any external stakeholder social media campaigns.

Develop CBCN blog schedule and coordinate appropriate authors, translation, integration and launch.

Develop and publish CBCN’s e-newsletters, CBCN Connected, mBC Connected and HCP Connected.

Develop and publish CBCN’s semi-annual digital magazines that are based on CBCN’s blog series
-
Create design for all external communications.

Answer phones and respond to requests or direct to appropriate CBCN team member.
Administration

Coordinate scheduling for Interim Director of Operations

Coordinate and book all travel for the organization

Answer main phone line and direct all calls appropriately

Manage the organizations general email inbox and address all emails or direct them to the appropriate staff member

Sort all mail and support Manager of Operations with any daily administrative needs
Requirements:
-
Degree, or equivalent experience, in Communications field
-
1-2 years experience working in a communications role
-
Excellent organizational skills
-
Excellent understanding of social media, digital platforms, and digital marketing tools
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to speak French considered an asset

Strong interpersonal skills
Job Type: This position is a one-year contract, with the option for renewal.
Hours per week: This is a full time position, 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day. The position will be a hybrid in-person/virtual model with 3 days working in CBCN’s office at 185 Somerset St. West Suite 318, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and 2 days per week working from home.
Salary: This position will be compensated with an annual salary of $40,000 and with the option to join the organization benefits plan after a 3 month probationary period.
