About this position

Department Overview

The environment has been a vital part of TD Bank Group’s history and brand for more than 25 years. From greening communities through the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation to greening our own operations, the environment has been a key focus. TD was among the first North American banks to identify climate change as an issue that would impact the way it did business, and since then made the choice to act. By embedding an environmental perspective throughout the bank, we are better able to identify the risks and opportunities associated with climate change, while sustaining the economic, environmental and social well-being of the communities we serve. As a financial institution, we recognize that we are in a unique position to help accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. Through our financing activities and cross-sector collaborations, we work to provide innovative solutions to today’s business and environment challenges. After more than a decade of leadership, we are embarking on the next phase of our environmental journey. In early 2018, TD released our new Global Citizenship Platform, an ambitious strategy which is aligned with the UN Global Goals. The new platform demonstrates value by enhancing our brand and reputation, building the employee value proposition, driving business results and catalyzing positive social and environmental impact. In this outcomes focused strategy, environment is a key driver of change.
