Surrey Women’s Centre (SWC) is the largest crisis centre in British Columbia supporting women, girls, and individuals escaping sexual violence, domestic violence, and other forms of gender-based violence. SWC delivers services through feminist, trauma-informed, and harm reduction approaches and seeks employees who have a strong understanding of violence against women and gender-based violence.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the organization. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director oversees all programs, staff, and operational functions, ensuring the effective delivery of services while advancing organizational priorities, strengthening operational performance, and supporting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Director provides leadership across program operations, quality assurance, human resources, financial stewardship, organizational planning, contract compliance, and risk management. Working closely with the Executive Director and Program Directors, they will ensure programs remain responsive, sustainable, and aligned with Surrey Women’s Centre’s mission, values, and funding commitments.

The ideal candidate is an experienced operational leader with demonstrated success overseeing multiple community-based programs within the health, human services, or non-profit sector. They bring experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex reporting and funding requirements, and implementing systems that support operational excellence and high-quality service delivery. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, anti-oppressive and feminist approaches, and the dynamics of gender-based violence is essential. Previous direct service experience and a collaborative, people-centred leadership style are highly valued.

The targeted salary range for this position is $90,000 – $100,000 annually, supplemented by a comprehensive and supportive employment experience.
