About this position

Cuso International has an exciting opportunity for a bilingual Global Lead, Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Development (ISED). The Global Lead, ISED is the subject matter expert for the promotion and strengthening of inclusive and sustainable economic development related programming, processes, tools, and related activities of Cuso International. Around the world, our work in this area ranges from women’s economic empowerment to youth entrepreneurship and employment skills-building to value chain strengthening programs in local communities. With five years of professional experience in international development with an ISED focus, you will proactively work with field and headquarter staff to provide technical assistance and enable the successful delivery of ISED activities throughout the project life-cycle. Your expertise with the economic empowerment of women and youth, entrepreneurship and employment skills training, sustainable and inclusive community economic development (e.g. rural tourism or agriculture), value-chain development/market strengthening, or financial inclusion and knowledge of incorporating gender equality as a cross-cutting theme, will allow you to provide evidence-based guidance and thought leadership for program design, budgeting, and resourcing. With excellent knowledge of monitoring & evaluation practices, including Results-Based Management (RBM), you will support the design and implementation of a MEAL framework for ISED activities. Your ability to autonomously manage a complex and demanding workload, while inspiring teams and encouraging innovative thinking will be key to your success in this role.
