Job Posting: Manager of Fund Development (Six-Month Contract)
Location: Vancouver, BC
Organization: 411 Seniors Centre Society
411 Seniors Centre Society is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Professional Fundraiser for a six-month contract. This role, Manager of Fund Development, is essential in supporting our mission to enhance the lives of over 4,000 low-income seniors in Vancouver. The successful candidate will work closely with our Executive Director, Board of Directors, and key stakeholders to secure funding through grants, individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to meet and exceed financial goals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing donors, membership, and partners.
- Write compelling grant proposals, donation letters, and other fundraising materials.
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
- Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and expand donor base.
- Manage donor recognition and stewardship processes to ensure continued support.
- Monitor, track, and report on fundraising progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Develop a Legacy Giving Plan
- Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of securing grants and donations for non-profit organizations.
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and community members.
- Experience with fundraising platforms, CRM systems, and grant databases.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting seniors and understanding of the challenges they face is an asset.
- $5,000 - 6,000 per month based on experience
- Generous bonus potential based on performance
- Paid expenses related to fundraising activities
- This position is office based at 3502 Fraser
