About this position
Are you a capable programme manager who is passionate about helping smaller civil society organizations (CSOs) survive and thrive in challenging environments? Do you believe that most at-risk CSOs need more support to understand and mitigate digital harms?
The SecDev Foundation works globally to boost the digital resilience of at-risk populations and CSOs. Over the past eight years, we have refined a methodology and toolkit to help smaller CSOs sustainably improve their digital safety postures. We are seeking a Senior Programme Manager (SPM) to help lead the next phase of this effort, to make a lasting difference in the well-being of CSOs that are helping so many others—in some of the world’s most challenging operational contexts.
The SPM will uphold the excellence of Foundation programming across Eurasia, overseeing its delivery by seasoned field teams and new implementing partners. They will champion vital project objectives and innovate to overcome complex challenges, on time and on budget. They will engage with local partners to ensure programming is relevant, responsive and driving sustainable outcomes. And they will ensure lessons learned are shared internally and across the wider stakeholder environment.
Our ideal candidate will embrace the responsibility of managing a complex programme that is making critical impacts on people’s lives. They will bring strong organizational and programme management experience, a track-record of leading happy and effective teams, and knowledge of the challenges faced by smaller CSOs trying to make a difference in difficult environments. They will also welcome the tight-rope challenge of ensuring the technical integrity of both a proven methodology and its localized adaptations.
