Consultant at Santis Health

 Position Overview:

Santis Health Health, a leading public affairs, communications and strategy consulting firm focusing on the health care sector, is looking to hire a Consultant. Based in our Toronto office, this ambitious, self-motivated individual will work closely with other members of the Santis strategy and policy team to provide strategic problem solving, public policy analysis, research services, and project management to the senior leadership of the firm and our clients. Santis’ recent projects in this area include strategic plans and strategy reviews, stakeholder and community engagement, focused research projects, and work with Ontario Health Teams.

Applicant should have a sound knowledge of public policy and stakeholder relations and be a confident and experienced project manager. Previous experience working in health care, in government or as a consultant would be an advantage.

Account Support

·      Working closely with all Santis Principals manage a wide range of client projects and deliverables, working on multiple projects simultaneously

·      Developing project management plans and keeping the project team focused on meeting multiple, tight timelines

·      Conducting environmental scans to highlight trends and emerging policy issues and analyzing their implications to client organizations and their operations

·      Identifying key stakeholders and creating tailored stakeholder maps and engagement plans

·      Assisting in the execution of stakeholder engagement plans, including with interviews, focus groups and other engagement tactics and on the development of associated materials

·      Participating in client strategy sessions

·      Creating a wide range of slide decks, briefing notes, and other communication materials

·      Liaising with clients as part of ongoing project management responsibilities

Internal Support

·      Assisting on development of proposals and on other business development opportunities

·      Participating in the continued development of internal products and processes related to public policy and strategy business

 Qualifications:

 ·      Degree in political science, public policy, economics, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience); post-graduate qualifications are beneficial

·      Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

·      Demonstrated knowledge of public policy and politics in Ontario and across Canada

·      Experience in health care and health policy is an asset

·    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset

·      A solid mix of project management, policy analysis, research and strategy experience

Required Skills:

·      Strong project management skills

·      Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to juggle multiple clients and projects

·      Skilled in priority-setting, efficient time-management and the ability to work independently

·      Strong research and analysis ability

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills

·      High level of professionalism

·      Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset

·      Flexible schedule for some evening/weekend work
