SCOPE:
In this stand-alone role, and taking direction from the CEO, you will lead and execute the development and implementation of the annual communication plan for our Not-For-Profit Long-Term Care Home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key activities will include:
- Execute communication strategy to ensure achievement of communications goals.
- In collaboration with key internal stakeholders, plan, develop, and execute internal and external communications.
- Manage various communication channels (print, social, website, etc.) including informing, tracking, and reporting performance indicators, drafting & posting content.
- Develop communications materials, graphics, and visuals to target key stakeholder groups.
- Provide occasional communications to support fundraising.
- Perform any other relevant duties as required that are necessary for the welfare of the residents and the efficient operation of the Home.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate or undergraduate education in communications, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience working in corporate communications.
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience and knowledge of best practices for different communications mediums: experience simultaneously managing various mediums.
- Experience implementing and overseeing the organization’s branding.
- Able to support other team members to identify and effectively communicate key messaging that is on brand.
- Proven track record in creating and implementing a digital marketing plan and supporting the implementation of communications strategy.
- Strong social media and branding skills, with experience designing graphics.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills; manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to use Microsoft Office, as well as online design and other tools such as WordPress or other website content management systems, Google Analytics, Canva, and Adobe.
- A team player who exhibits and embraces the Lodge’s values.
Note 1: This position is primarily on-site, and will have the opportunity for some hybrid work after orientation is completed.
Note 2: The starting salary is listed as a guideline only; compensation will be determined on the basis of the final selected candidate's demonstrated skills, education, and experience.
