About the Role
Tapestry Community Capital is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Community Engagement Lead to help tell our story and build meaningful connections with the issuers and investors who make our mission possible. You'll be at the heart of Tapestry's brand presence, crafting content that resonates, managing our growing social channels, and bringing our community together through engaging digital and in-person experiences. This is a great fit for someone who loves finding the story behind the numbers, thrives on connecting with people online and in person, and wants to grow their skills in strategy, content creation, and community-building within a mission-driven organization.
What You'll Do
Content Strategy & Execution
● Create and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Tapestry's goals, focusing on growing brand awareness and customer engagement across various channels.
● Produce engaging content for social media, newsletters, and blog posts that aligns with Tapestry's brand and aims to increase audience engagement.
● Manage Tapestry's social media presence by creating a consistent posting schedule, engaging with followers, and monitoring trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
● Support the expansion of Tapestry's reach on new social media platforms, such as Instagram and TikTok, while maintaining activity on LinkedIn.
● Brainstorm and test creative content ideas aimed at increasing engagement and brand awareness, particularly with younger audiences through visual and story-driven content.
● Engage with vendors like graphic designers, video editors, and marketing agencies (especially in creating social media ad campaigns).
Community & Event Engagement
● Plan and host digital events (webinars, virtual info sessions, etc.) that engage both issuers and investors and strengthen their connection to Tapestry's mission.
● Coordinate Tapestry’s participation in industry events like conferences, including coordinating exhibitor booth materials, presentations, etc.
● Occasionally assist in planning in-person events, working with the team to manage logistics, invitations, and follow-up engagement.
● Serve as a welcoming point of contact for community members at all events, helping foster genuine relationships between Tapestry and the issuers and investors it serves.
● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events are promoted effectively across social and email channels and that content/insights from events feed back into broader communications strategy.
Data Management & Reporting
● Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns and inform future strategies.
● Maintain an organized database of performance insights and provide regular updates to the Marketing and Communications Manager, offering data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Other Activities as Assigned
● Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the team and advance Tapestry's mission.
What You Bring
Experience
● At least 3-5 years of experience in social media management, paid ads management, marketing, communications, and community engagement.
● Demonstrated experience creating and scheduling content across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
● Experience planning and/or hosting events, whether virtual (webinars, livestreams) or in-person (workshops, meetups, community gatherings).
● Familiarity with social media analytics tools and reporting on marketing performance metrics.
● Experience with graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) is a plus.
Education
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Skills & Attributes
● Strong writing and storytelling skills with an eye for Tapestry's brand voice.
● Comfortable balancing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
● Confident public-facing communicator, comfortable engaging with community members both online and at in-person events.
● Data-curious, with the ability to translate metrics into actionable recommendations.
● Passion for community investing, economic empowerment, or related social impact work is strongly preferred.
