Title: Campaign Coordinator
Reports To: Club Manager
Status: Part time, term position
Summary
The Campaign Coordinator is a part-time, term position that works to support the Banook Canoe Club, its staff and Campaign volunteers in a capital campaign to raise $1.5million for a $5million revitalization of the iconic Banook Canoe Club Clubhouse.
Reporting to the Club Manager, the Campaign Coordinator works with the guidance of the BNP Consultant, and in collaboration with the Campaign Cabinet Chair (or Co-Chairs) to organize the major fundraising campaign activities in accordance with the campaign plan, priorities, and timeline.
Responsibilities
● Organize and participate in the Campaign Cabinet meetings which prepare for and carry out the cultivation and solicitation of donors
● Attend Cabinet meetings, prepare meeting notes, and support volunteers in assigned tasks
● Prepare, maintain, and update donor prospect lists; ensure prospect information is complete (name, address, email, telephone number, personal information useful to volunteers in preparing for a meeting with a prospective donor)
● Coordinate logistics of prospective donor meetings
● Ensure volunteers are prepared for meetings with prospective donors including: scheduling training with the BNP consultant; preparing solicitation kits; documenting and disseminating solicitation strategies
● Gather meeting reports from the volunteers to ensure required follow up is captured, tracked and completed
● Maintain the campaign website
● Assist donors in making on-line gifts to ensure the smooth completion of the gift and, ultimately, the charitable giving receipt to the donor from Sport Nova Scotia
● Maintain up-to-date tracking (Excel or other spreadsheet), ensuring Banook Canoe Club records are consistent with those of Sport Nova Scotia
● Coordinate correspondence to donors including drafting messages and letters, getting signatures, saving and filing copies, tracking responses and required follow up
● Coordinate communications and campaign events
● Coordinate the donor recognition process
● Ensure documentation of donor lists, profiles, correspondence, and giving records, along with campaign documents such as policies, press releases, case for support, etc. are in order to leave with Banook Canoe Club for use in future campaigns.

Conditions of Work
Position start date: mid-to-late January 2023
Term: January 2023 to January 2024
Hours: 20 hours per week
Working conditions: Working primarily remotely, with frequent time at the Banook Canoe Club
Compensation: to be determined relative to experience.
