Bilingual Administrative Coordinator, Children’s Inclusion Support Services

Andrew Fleck Children’s Services is looking to hire a Bilingual Administrative Coordinator to work in our Children’s Inclusion Support Services (CISS) program.  The CISS Administrative Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the planning and development of a comprehensive training program for the child care community as well as for the staff of CISS. The Coordinator will be responsible for the development of the bilingual ACCESS Inclusion website, Inclusion Ottawa social media pages and other communication resources. The Coordinator will support the activities of the program’s equipment library and be responsible for the resource library.

$23.59 to $27.41 per hour

In this role you will…

  • Prepare and Develop training materials from the content provided by the Resource Consultants and Behavior Consultants; this includes digital publications and infographics
  • The trainings   for the Resource Consultants and Behavior consultants are for delivery either virtually or in person to program teams, staff, parents, and others through workshops and in-services
  • Research and Create resource material to be available to programs
  • Maintains current knowledge about tools and platforms used for virtual training and communication
  • Maintains computer and other related systems for training, library and promotional work; orders resource materials and related supplies; prepares and processes all correspondence related to training
  • Acts as the chairperson for both the communication committee and the training committee. Organizes and leads meetings and oversees committee projects
  • Consults with CISS management to identify staff training priorities; seeks resources, training opportunities and tools relevant to current priorities.
  • Promotes CISS and inclusion  through communication tools that include social media accounts that are updated daily and monitored consistently.  
  • Develops surveys, questionnaires, and assessments for use by CISS Resource Consultant team
  • Publishes bilingual news letter

To qualify for this role you have…

  • A degree or diploma from a recognized college or university in a relevant field (communication, administration)
  • Three years experience in resource coordination, digital publications, and social media
  • Knowledge regarding training adults, an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work independently and also as member of a multi- disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated experience in training and development
  • Leadership skills
  • Bilingual -Fluent in English and French- a must
  • Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable sector) completed in the last 6 months
  • Strong organizational, time management, group presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • A current driver’s licence and use of a car
