BuildStrong by CIRP (BuildStrong) operates across British Columbia, supporting members of the BC Building Trades, the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC (CLRA), and their families. The organization works within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment that includes unions, employers, government, health authorities, and community partners. BuildStrong is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality substance use and related mental health services to individuals working in the construction industry and their families. The organization brings together industry and community partners to address critical issues related to recovery, resilience, and harm reduction.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial sustainability of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO ensures the organization fulfills its mission of providing accessible, high-quality substance use and related mental health services to the members of the BC Building Trades, the Construction Labour Relations Association and their family members.

The CEO provides leadership for organizational strategy, program oversight, partner engagement, and operational effectiveness across all BuildStrong locations and initiatives. Working closely with affiliated unions, unionized employers, government partners, industry stakeholders, and the Board of Directors, the CEO supports the continued growth and impact of BuildStrong’s services and programs throughout British Columbia.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative, and mission-driven executive with demonstrated experience leading within complex, multi-partner environments. They bring a proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence policy, and lead organizational growth while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery and programmatic impact. The CEO will be a credible and effective spokesperson, capable of representing BuildStrong by CIRP across industry, government and community settings.

The targeted salary range for this position is $150,000 – $200,000 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
