This is a full-time 1 year contract.
Strides Toronto is a multi-service agency providing services to young people from birth to age 29 and their families in East Toronto. Formed in January 2020 through the amalgamation of Aisling Discoveries and East Metro Youth Services, Strides Toronto provides a range of community, residential and treatment services to improve the mental, social, and physical health of infants, children, youth and their families. We provide individual, group and family interventions that include mental health counselling, autism services, education, outreach and referral, early intervention, day treatment and community support.
As Lead Agency for infant, child and youth mental health in Toronto, Strides Toronto works with 25 core service providers to design and implement system-level improvements that transform access to services, experience of services and the mental health outcomes for Toronto’s diverse communities.
Strides Toronto has a budget of $30 million and more than 350 employees providing services out of 19 locations across East Toronto. The organization Is accredited by the Centre for Accreditation and the predecessor organizations have a long history of providing high-quality services in East Toronto.

What will you do?
- Ensure callers are supported and referred via telephone to the most appropriate Children and Youth Mental Health service in Toronto;
- Support Callers in accessing immediate counseling support via the What’s Up Walk-In network;
- Respond to live and/or queued calls;
- Screen the calls to help identify needs and risks to support the referral process;
- Consult with agency partners to determine most appropriate service;
- Record and analyze statistical data in the CRM;
- Assist Service Providers calling with case consultation and resource support;
- Identify need for Community Partnership Development, manage and maintain existing partnerships;
- Communicate with social media contact to discuss emerging trends and issues;
- Market and promote MHTO services within the community;
- Support Urban Tele-Mental Health referrals to Sick Kids for access to psychiatric consultation via live video conference;
- Engage in outreach opportunities to increase awareness of UTMH services;
- Attend quarterly Tele-Mental Health Services Forum meetings;
- Support physicians in accessing community Children, Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Services for their patients;
- Document all relevant information in accordance with The Ministry of Health standards and practices.
What are we looking for?
- CYW Diploma;
- 2 years of intake experience;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Experience working with and pulling statistics from CRM/CR database
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams, etc.
- Experience working with Cisco IP phone
- Knowledge of Children and Youth Mental Health services and hospital services;
- Knowledge of Urban Tele Health Mental Health Services through Sick Kids;
- Knowledge of external community resources.

- Fluency in another language(s).

This role is a part of OPSEU Local 567 bargaining unit.
Salary range from $52,540 to $61,800 per annum
