Good Shepherd is seeking experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse interested in providing excellence in care in a community setting.  The Good Shepherd Transition Beds program provides brief-stay residential care to marginalized individuals being discharged from hospital who require ongoing medical care and case management services to support optimal recovery and re-integration into the community.  We are seeking healthcare professionals interested in working in a dynamic community setting responding to the needs of people impacted by poverty, homelessness, mental health issues and substance use.  The Nurse will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that will facilitate improved health status and timely, effective discharge to community for service users. 

Successful candidate will have demonstrated interest and competence in clinical nursing practice related to the care of marginalized individuals.  A commitment to delivering person-centred care within anti-oppressive and harm reduction frameworks is essential. Fluency in a language in addition to English is an asset.

This position involves shift work.

Candidates must be registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
