Outreach Coordinator
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Community Programs, you will be responsible to design, develop, implement, and evaluate Seniors Wellness, Congregate Dining and/or Diversity programs including supervision of community program volunteers, and to foster CHATS’ role as a valued community partner through development and maintenance of community partnerships and key relationships.
Full-time position, 35 hours per week, 8:30am - 4:30pm - Monday to Friday with occasional work outside of business hours.
This is a Hybrid position, a mix of Home and office with work in the community – Markham, Stouffville, Unionville, Newmarket and base location as CHATS Head Office – 240 Edward Street, Suite 1, Aurora, ON L4G 3S9.
What you bring to the role:
- Social Service Worker diploma plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience with seniors and program delivery in the community or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Diploma or certificate in Volunteer Management.
- Demonstrated success in development, implementation, and evaluation of congregate programming with a wellness or therapeutic focus.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently applying sound judgement and ability to manage complex situations and decisions with limited support.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to handle conflict effectively.
- Experience in the supervision of volunteers.
- Exceptional communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate time management skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
- Current CPR/ First Aid certification.
- Current PROTON Food Handler Certification.
- Functional Fitness Certification or equivalent.
- Fluency in other language(s) and cultural competency an asset
- Scheduling experience an asset
