JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Learning Specialist drives learning impact across the organization’s programs serving individuals facing socio-economic barriers. Through  the establishment, development, and maintenance of a strong and interactive Learning Management System (LMS),  the Digital Learning Specialist will direct digital learning strategies, content development, and evaluate efficacy of learning tools, while ensuring highly engaging, progressive, and valuable e-learning programs.

As part of the training programs team, and reporting to the Director of Programs, you will be a key player on a diverse team of social service workers, administrative staff, and volunteer educators.

Through the creation and development of content, lessons plans, resource lists, and facilitation techniques your team will look to you for guidance and leadership in rolling out a top notch e-learning experience for our clients. The curriculum will focus on topics such as job readiness, communication skills, goal-setting, and stress management, among others.

You will have the opportunity to work with leadership volunteers, experts in their fields, as you provide support and guidance for them before, during, and after their workshop facilitation.

As you lay down the bricks for Ve’ahavta’s e-learning programs, a key part of your role will be to evaluate the efficacy and impact of curriculum content and teaching techniques. This will be done by occasionally attending class sessions, soliciting feedback from stakeholders and colleagues, designing quizzes and questionnaires, and conducting program evaluations.
