We’re currently searching for a service-oriented team player to fill the role of National Coordinator, Major Gifts and Donor Relations. In this role, you will provide administrative and coordination support to the Major Gifts and Corporate Partnerships team and report to our National Director, Major Gifts.

Does the above resonate with you? As the National Coordinator, Major Gifts and Donor Relations, you would have the opportunity to make an impact by:

  • Processing gifts including new pledges, pledge payments and one time gifts
  • Regularly maintaining and updating donor records
  • Preparing and distributing thank you notes and tax receipts
  • Working with the finance team, regularly monitoring revenue reports to ensure accuracy
  • Monitoring and tracking stewardship activity including pledge reminders and annual reporting
  • Creating and processing gift agreements and pledge information
  • Monitoring and tracking stewardship activity ensuring follow up actions are recorded and completed
  • Reviewing lists for mailings, special announcements, event invitations etc.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Major Gifts and Corporate Partnerships team, including supporting Major Gift Campaign Cabinet volunteers
  • Assisting in organizing, coordinating and managing donor and cultivation events
  • Accurately creating and updating revenue and forecast information 
  • Representing team on projects and committees as required
  • Maintaining information associated with named funds and donor recognition
  • Monitoring policies and procedures for donor recognition including donor naming protocols and loyalty programs to ensure appropriate and consistent recognition

  • College diploma or certificate preferably in fundraising, database administration or related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience; experience in a not-for-profit organization would be an asset
  • Proficiency using databases or a CRM product (knowledge of Clearview is asset)
  • Demonstrated proficiency understanding and using Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Solutions-oriented mindset, practicing excellent judgment and problem solving
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while working with multiple and/or competing projects and deadlines
  • Flexibility to work some irregular hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required
