Office Coordinator

Full Time

 

In a compassionate, hospitable and non-judgmental manner the Office Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of administrative, clerical, and communication functions in assisting the Director and Staff of Barrett Centre. These include: accurately and thoroughly preparing quarterly statistics for submission to the Ministry of Health and to the LHIN; helping to ensure the safety and security of the building; producing additional statistics and reports for the Director, as required; supporting staff in client data entry and reviewing integrity of data; assisting the Director with hiring & staff orientation including processes; managing orders and invoicing, scheduling, taking meeting minutes and other general office duties as outlined in the Role Description.

 

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility adaptability, hospitality and dignity. They will also demonstrate sensitivity to issues related to poverty, homelessness, mental health, addictions and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.  Must have a minimum of 2 years clerical experience; Diploma from a college level clerical/administrative program; possess a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook; and be able to work with management of database functions, information retrieval and reporting.  Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset.
