Position Summary:
The Program and Systems Coordinator will be responsible for providing program coordination and system development support to strengthen YCI’s youth livelihood strategy and contribute to programming that promotes sustainbale youth leadership. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with experience working in community-level projects preferably with specific experience in climate activation and youth programming. They will have a strong understanding of how to design, implement and manage the technical systems that support project life cycles; including monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), client engagement and communications systems.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordination and Administration: Provide coordination support to YCI’s youth climate action programs including the logistics and administration of project activities with strong attention to detail; coordinate promotion and marketing of volunteer opportunities and recruitment and onboarding of youth volunteers for climate action; coordinate and support youth teams in community-level project implementation; assist with planning and overseeing successful event implementation and financial administration and data collection coordination.
- Systems Development: Support the development and administration of online systems that power the management and implementation of YCI’s climate action programs generating significant efficiencies; provide technical support for systems and tools that streamline and consolidate YCI’s project tracking, monitoring and evaluation, communications and and over all program function.
- Internal and External Communications: Plan and coordinate network-building communication activities to build a supportive community of youth climate action volunteers; assist with editing and development of program materials; draft communications deliverables to capture youth experiences and actions to share with a wide audience.
You are a self-starter with 3+ years experience in project coordination; you are highly tech savvy with experience supporting organizations in adopting new technologies across business functions; you are passionate and eager to contribute to dynamic youth programming that is catalyzing local climate action; you have exceptional spoken and written communication skills; you can see the big picture while keeping a close eye on detail, creating and implementing systems which lead to greater efficiency, strong participant engagement and successful delivery and tracking of programs outcomes; you are a reliable and entrepreneurial self-starter with a hands-on approach, proactively moving work forward, managing your time effectively, and can be counted on to follow-through; you can support meetings/events outside of regular working hours on evenings and weekends as needed; you have experience working with youth and/or volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
