Your Impact at CNIB

CNIB requires a skilled and enthusiastic direct marketer to support the growth of the annual giving program. As the Coordinator, Annual Giving, this individual will play a key role in fulfilling the day-to-day objectives of the Direct Mail, Tribute and Mid-Level Giving programs. Reporting into the Manager, Annual Giving, the Coordinator will lend essential support in areas such as campaign creation and administration, fulfillment, stewardship, and donor engagement, all in an effort to provide a seamless donor experience. The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Manager, Annual Giving in all areas of CNIB’s Direct Mail campaigns, including creative, data, and production.
  • Review and approve direct mail dumps, counts and lives and cross-examine data for alignment with campaign strategy.
  • Assist in the creation and deployment of email and social media campaigns to support annual giving fundraising activities.
  • Support the Manager, Annual Giving on the execution of all aspects of CNIB’s Mid-Level giving program from acquisition to retention to stewardship and reactivation.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining symbolic giving online store, BrighterGifts.ca
  • Support the Manager, Annual Giving with content gathering, either by reviewing existing content or connecting with other business units to gather new content.

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communication, Creative Industries or related field.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of directly related fundraising or marketing experience. Direct mail experience is preferred.

  • Experience working with multiple channels of distribution, including mail, digital and telemarketing.
  • Experience in creative writing.
  • Experience in social media and email marketing is an asset.
  • Strong competencies in Windows environment and with Microsoft Office software, including (but not limited to) Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Campaign Monitor, or similar email marketing platform, an asset.
  • Ability to speak French is an asset.
  • Detail-driven; able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and strong creative judgement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable conversing with a variety of people in different situations.
  • A positive attitude: anything can be solved; anything can be accomplished.
  • Proven project and vendor management skills, with experience in implementing projects from conception through completion.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Function effectively within a team environment.
  • Data-savvy and able to leverage analytical insights to inform strategy.
  • Exercise good judgment and tact when resolving issues and ability to recognize when to escalate an issue to the next level.
  • Knowledge of donor database management systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with good persuasive abilities, tact, and discretion.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
