We're looking for a mission-driven Specialist, Monthly Stewardship who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.
Your Impact at CNIB
- Coordinate multi-channel monthly donor stewardship communications by contributing to briefings, sourcing content, and preparing documents for translation.
- Support creation of donor impact emails and update emails announcing CNIB milestones and events; use Campaign Monitor to build and deploy mass marketing email communications as needed.
- Create and maintain resources documenting CNIB’s national programmatic work, approved key messages and statistics, and regularly gather content for Direct Marketing communications, vendor training, and telemarketing scripting.
- Supervise and contribute to CNIB’s monthly donor anniversary/milestone communications and mailings.
- Assist in coordinating photo shoots across Canada for fundraising and stewardship materials.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to plan and/or recommend decisions on Monthly Donor retention and value maximization activities.
- Work with Director, Monthly Giving on annual tax receipting process; contribute to letter writing, drive content collection and creation of Monthly Donor Year in Review; liaise with Gift Management to ensure smooth receipting experience.
- Communicate monthly stewardship activities across CNIB to ensure key stakeholders are aware of any donor-facing communication; Provide key messaging to Donor Services team to ensure seamless donor experience.
Who you are:
Education and Certifications
- Degree or diploma in related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in the fields of fundraising and mass marketing. An understanding of key drivers for donor loyalty and long-term value.
- Excellent project management skills with exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in an environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Fluency in English, with strong copy-editing skills is required. Proficiency in French an asset – CNIB is a national organization operating in both English and French.
- Strong understanding of fundraising fundamentals and donor stewardship; knowledge of face-to-face fundraising and/or monthly giving an asset.
- Strong creative skills with ability to translate into tangible donor engagement pieces.
- A deep understanding of direct response metrics, analysis, and effective marketing best practices across multiple channels including Digital, Print and Telemarketing.
- Experience in contributing to initiatives with the goal of growing donor revenue, loyalty and/or retention.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills paired with the ability to inspire confidence and trust.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to correspond in a tactful and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently; proactive, self-directed and able to take initiative with a solution-focused approach.
- Values high-quality work; has a drive and tenacity to achieve defined objectives and to implement efficient solutions within a set timeframe.
- Contributes ideas to improve workflow, planning and organization.
- Embraces collaboration when the job requires and enjoys working with others to accomplish shared goals.
- Strong competencies in Windows environment and with Microsoft Office software, including (but not limited to) Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Campaign Monitor, or a similar email marketing platform, an asset.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
