The Opportunity:
The Assistant to the Head, Senior and Middle School at Branksome Hall, a key administrative position, provides senior level administrative support and expertise to the Head, Senior and Middle School. Ensuring the Head’s office is represented professionally, the Assistant is responsible for calendar management, coordinating meetings and appointments, drafting correspondence, and supporting events and school-wide initiatives. The Assistant liaises with internal and external stakeholders, including parents, students and employees, in responding to inquiries and assisting the Head in managing complex situations. With strong attention to detail, the incumbent assists in the preparation of the budget, monitoring and processing expenses and coordinating travel arrangements. Other key accountabilities for the Assistant will include support to key events, the internal calendar, weekly newsletters and Ministry Inspections as they arise.
The successful candidate will have post-secondary training in a related field and a 5-7 years’ directly related experience, including experience supporting a senior leader. A skilled communicator and writer, with superior knowledge of office and administrative procedures, you have a proven track record of sound and independent judgment, initiative, and discretion. With strong interpersonal skills, you are at ease liaising with various stakeholders across the Branksome community and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud based softwares, complete your profile.
