About this position

Please note this role is restricted to those located within the Greater Toronto Area.

About us…

FUEL is an authentic community for young changemakers, where they are invited to rest, given opportunities to grow, and can find meaningful connections with like-minded individuals.

We believe there is a powerful and widespread opportunity for social change when barriers are removed for those creating real impact in their communities. We are driven by the voices of these young people. Our services focus on community building, skill development and self care for young changemakers in the Greater Toronto Area.

We have a small and committed team, moving into our second year. With that comes lots of genuine opportunities to define our work - and autonomy over responsibilities. Our current priorities are community development, event/program planning & delivery, partnership development and fundraising/revenue generation.

About you…

You bring a love of people to your work, a desire to be a part of an early stage non-profit, and are intentional about decisions.

You are looking to join a team committed to creating spaces where young people can be valued as individuals, feel loved for who they are and can be vulnerable about their experiences.

You thrive when working in ambiguity, enjoy moving between different tasks and can solve problems quickly and creatively. And most of all, you want to play a strong role in defining the work of a new organization. Much of our work continues to evolve and change as we learn what is valued by our community.  Those successful in this role will bring a willingness to try new ideas and risk failure, and who can plan events/programs/offerings based on little direction or concrete information.
