The successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- ECE diploma or equivalent, valid RECE designation
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR certification
- Food Handler’s Certificate an asset
- A genuine love and commitment to the ECE profession and work with young children and families
- Experience with school age programs will be an asset
- Working knowledge of emergent curriculum, ELECT and HDLH Principles
- Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs
- Possess excellent professional and best practice skills with colleagues, families and other professionals
- Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a committed and dedicated team
- Ability to carry out the physical duties and tasks of a child care's daily routines and schedule
- Knowledge of City of Toronto Assurance (AQI) requirements and CCEYA legislation
- A clear health and criminal reference check is necessary prior to employment
- Must be flexible to work shifts as needed by the program
- Salary to be discussed at time of interview (dependent on qualifications, experience, certification and professional development)
