Position Summary

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the full range of technology and data solutions at Rise, with Salesforce, Office 365 and WordPress as our foundation.  This role requires a unique balance between user support and technical skills and is critical to the achievement of our organizational goals through the use of technology and analytics.

We are looking for a team player, who is flexible and adaptable and is ready to wear different hats depending on the opportunities, needs and challenges inherent to a small, nimble environment. Key Job Responsibilities

Salesforce Administration (40%)

  • Serve as the primary administrator for a Salesforce environment with 20+ users (major projects will be outsourced)
  • Audit, maintain and develop system configurations, automation processes and 3rd party integrations such as Zapier
  • Use Data Loader to update records or to restore backup data points
  • Create regular backups of the Salesforce database
  • Work with the various Rise teams to design, execute and evaluate mass mailing campaigns
  • Create, manage, and monitor all end-user training and adoption protocols to grow the Salesforce and Office 365 skill set across the organization
  • Design reports and dashboards to monitor and support programs and fundraising
  • Work closely with the Program Managers and COO to support organizational reporting and impact evaluation metrics

Office 365 Administration (20%)

  • Monitor and maintain Office 365 systems, including Hosted Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and related products
  • Ensure the operational health of the SharePoint online environment, including security & availability
  • Monitor and execute cybersecurity initiatives as required
  • Manage user onboarding and account setup/maintenance, training and offboarding processes

Systems Support / Help Desk (20%)

  • Monitor and maintain office IT systems, voice and teleconferencing systems, including hardware inventory, workstation set-up, staff onboarding and training, equipment allocation and technical support
  • Document and respond to support requests from staff and external users of Salesforce, Office 365 and other Rise systems
  • Work with our internal management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
  • Model Salesforce and Office best practices for all users
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades

Website Administration (WordPress) (10%)

  • Support the Marketing team with, webpage design, implementation, and updates and act as advisor to staff on special projects
  • Work with the Marketing team to monitor and administer website analytic dashboards, reports and key reporting tools
  • Advise Programs staff on implementation of special digital projects, such as annual Impact Report creation and online directory of Rise entrepreneurs
  • Coordinate with external vendors on special projects as required

Other Duties (10%)

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience as a system administrator and analyst on a Salesforce (Enterprise) instance
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate, or equivalent experience (Salesforce Administration certification is preferred)
  • Experience in the charitable sector with a focus on Salesforce, Office 365, WordPress and database administration is an asset
  • Experience with cloud-based form builders, Salesforce report builder, Apex Data Loader is preferred
  • Excellent data analytics, visualization, diagramming, and documentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills (both technical and non-technical)
  • Engaging and supportive end-user training style
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both technical and non-technical)
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Have an "I don't know everything, but I can learn anything" attitude.
