LOCATION: Toronto, ON
POSITION TYPE: Part-Time Fixed-Term (22.5 hours/week; 6-month contract)

We are looking for a WUWI Intake Worker who will perform intake and administrative functions that support the What’s Up Walk In (WUWI) program. This role will operate out of one of Lumenus’ designated service sites and will report to the Manager, WUWI for program related functions and Team Lead, Administration for time off approvals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs initial intake for WUWI clients. This includes conducting intakes through live phone calls and through referral services (i.e. MHTO).
- Respond to incoming inquiries appropriately.
- Complete data entry processes related to client intake.
- Coordinate appointments by managing WUWI schedule and booking appointments with available clinicians.
- Manage WUWI clinical files; updating and closing records, ensuring compliance with record retention policies, coordinating storage and destruction services.
- Will occasionally provide central administrative relief (when needed).
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education with at least 3 years previous related experience in an intake/client facing position or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Non-profit experience in an accredited organization is an asset.
- Experience with client databases and electronic health records is an asset.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to meet the needs of a diverse client base and be familiar and sensitive to diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Flexibility to be able to adapt to changing conditions
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Proficient in standard office software; min. 45 WPM and strong note taking skills.
- Strong understanding of teamwork and the ability to work effectively and contribute to a high performing team.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Satisfactory clearance under the Criminal Reference Check
- Travel may be required to other agency locations
- Fluency in verbal/written French is an asset
- Have proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
