About this position

The KGH Foundation is looking for a visionary and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead a bold and ambitious health care foundation into it’s next era.

As one of British Columbia's leading, health care foundations, the KGH Foundation works alongside donors, health care partners and community leaders to advance care for people across the Southern Interior.  At the heart of it all is a simple belief that drives us: Giving Changes Everything.  We take the transformative power of philanthropy to drive health care improvements. The CEO will build on a strong legacy of philanthropy and community trust, providing the vision, leadership and relationships needed to inspire generosity, strengthen partnerships and help shape what is possible for health care in our region.

The KGH Foundation is the lead fundraising organization for the Kelowna General Hospital, JoeAnna's House, Central Okanagan Hospice House and health care partners working in the community. The KGH Foundation directly operates JoeAnna's House and oversees social enterprises that engage volunteers and generate revenue in service of its mission. The KGH Foundation manages over $60 million in assets and is the sole shareholder of the Jim Pattison Centre for Health Systems Learning & Innovation.

Building on the momentum of its most ambitious campaign to date, the Foundation has developed the experience, credibility, and capacity to lead complex, system-shaping initiatives; convening partners, stewarding transformational gifts, and supporting change that extends beyond individual projects to lasting impact across the health system.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO sets strategic vision, drives organizational performance, and serves as the Foundation's primary ambassador. The role carries direct operating responsibility for JoeAnna's House, governance oversight of the Jim Pattison Centre, and a primary focus on supporting Kelowna General Hospital, mobilizing donors, government, partners, staff, and volunteers. Just as important, the CEO is the steward of our culture: one built on respect, engagement, and genuine joy in the work. We're looking for a established leader who will protect and grow that culture while championing operational excellence through the Senior Leadership Team, and bringing bold, innovative thinking to every strategy the Foundation pursues.

You are a dynamic, compassionate, and strategic leader with a track record of running complex, multi-entity organizations and building genuine relationships that translate into lasting community impact. You rally people, both internal teams and external partners, around ambitious goals, and you bring real innovation to how you approach philanthropy and impact investing. Warm, energetic, and highly relational, you're comfortable working across a wide range of stakeholders, from the Board and government to donors, health care partners, and patient families, and you're fully committed to shaping health outcomes across our region and province.
