About this position

Rogers is seeking a Sr.Analyst to support Non-Production environments. Reporting to the Manager of Non-Production Environment Support at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus this individual will be responsible for maintaining various E-Commerce and middleware applications. This individual will be expected to participate in the successful delivery of several simultaneous projects working collaboratively with multiple business units, IT teams and external partners.
 
What you have…

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related degree focus with at least 7 years experience in IT
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
  • Solid experience in supporting Oracle (Weblogic) and Play/Akka technologies
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle Databases
  • Broad understanding of application development and support (SDLC)
  • Telecommunication industry experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work/interface with multiple Lines of Business, geographies, and technologies
  • Having cloud experience and certification is an asset
What you will be doing…
  • Support new and ongoing projects in a high pace environment
  • Ensure Non-Production environments are stable and take proactive actions to avoid any issues/outages
  • Ensure day to day process are running within expected SLAs
  • Provide quick resolution to any issues raised by stakeholders/end users
  • Perform problem determination and resolution
  • Perform application optimization by working with developers, DBAs, end users and system support personnel
  • Lead/Perform installations, upgrades and maintain patch levels as required
  • Manage and support technical changes being implemented into environments
  • Restore system continuity by contributing to incident and disaster recovery
  • Maintain Rogers standards for application and workflows implementations and service
  • Troubleshoot issues such as connection, failed jobs, application errors, server alerts, space thresholds, etc. within predefined SLAs
  • Increase application reliability and availability through process improvement
  • Help tickets resolution and communication to end users.
