COORDINATOR, SUMMER CAMPUS PROGRAMMING

SUMMARY:
Job Duration: May 1 - August 16, 2024
Hours of work: Full Time - up to 44hr/week
Salary: $19/h + 4% vacation pay
Additional Perks: On-campus residence accommodation is available for the duration of employment. Meals will be provided when available (during camp hours).
Reporting to the Manager, Events and Conferences, the Coordinator, Summer Campus Programming will assist with overall program planning and logistics, work with camp teaching staff, as well as overseeing and executing day-to-day camp and conference tasks.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with program design teams to execute and deliver high calibre experiences for participants;
- Provide orientation for program leaders, oversee daily intern tasks, and lead daily team meetings;
- Prepare program itinerary details and logistics for camps and conferences;
- Administrative and programming support; working with internal and external stakeholders;
- Liasing with program staff and the Huron Events and Conferences team serving as the main point of contact for program leads;
- Responsible for daily execution for camp activities, and on call in the evenings as needed;
- A Huron Ambassador for summer programming.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience in events or programming;
- Previous experience in summer camps or programming is highly valued;
- Demonstrated interest in and/or experience with events or camp management;
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, essential for promoting Huron initiatives and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Proficient research and planning capabilities;
- Proven initiative, adept time management, and exceptional organizational skills;
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
