Aftermetoo is hiring a Web Design and Navigation Consultant for the Rosa project! 

Hi there! We are looking for a Web Design and Navigation Consultant to help manage the creative direction for the Rosa platform and online training. 

Rosa, a collaboration between Aftermetoo and Canadian Women’s Foundation, is a digital access to justice platform focused on workplace sexual harassment.  Organized by province and territory, Rosa is there to guide workers through relevant laws, what to expect, and how to prepare when reporting. Our goal is to provide the workforce with tools to protect their rights and create accountability so that they can go to work in safety and are set up to succeed. Digital training is also being offered to workers and employers in various sectors across Canada.  

Your Role  

You will be responsible for working with Rosa’s team and our UX/UI and platform development firms to help create and deliver the final platform. You bring experience in website design and navigation as well as an understanding of workplace sexual harassment and Rosa’s purpose and goals. 

The development of Rosa is already in progress and will require you to jump in quickly. Meeting with all members of the Rosa development and design team, you will use the work completed to date to guide the continuation and completion of the project. Through an understanding of the business logic and program goals you will oversee the template design and will strive to create a visually appealing platform that feature user-friendly, accessible design and clear navigation which is survivor centric. You will also be responsible for overseeing user testing of the platform.  

Core Functions 

Technology and UX 

  • Responsible for creative direction of Rosa platform and all online training 

  • Ensure trauma informed direction for Rosa 

  • Oversee UX for all aspects of the platform 

  • Oversee Rosa’s accessibility 

  • Oversee security and coordinate security advisor group 

  • Work closely with UX/UI, platform development and SEO firms – Playground, Pixelbot and GoSquab 

Testing 

  • Responsible for user testing on content and navigation, in collaboration with Playground 

Selection Criteria 

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate: 

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work within tight deadlines  

  • A technical background, with a minimum of 5 years experience in design and development best practices 

  • Experience in UX/UI 

  • Experience and understanding of web security  

  • An understanding of Rosa user and client needs 

  • Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion frameworks would be considered an asset.  

Project Timeline 

This is anticipated to be 30 - 35 days of work from February 2021 to June 2021, with the possibility of extension.  You will report to the Managing Director and the Rosa Management Committee. This work will be done exclusively online, so candidates are welcome from all parts of Canada.   

Remuneration:  

The available funding for this position is $35,000 (including applicable taxes) over the next four months
