Hours: 30 hours per week
Duration: 12 month contract (with possibility of extension)

Role Overview:
This is a great opportunity to work connected with the film and television industry while supporting a not-for-profit arts organization. The primary function of this role is to support the operations of CAFTCAD, and subsidiary organization the CAFTCAD Awards, in their administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
The main areas that the Operations Assistant will be supporting are as follows:
- Processing CAFTCAD membership applications and renewals
- Answering queries by email and phone relating to CAFTCAD and the CAFTCAD Awards
- Facilitating library visits from CAFTCAD members and non-members
- Processing of payments relating to CAFTCAD and CAFTCAD Awards
- Making updates to member area of the CAFTCAD website
- Providing support to Operations and Communications Manager, Coordinator and CAFTCAD and CAFTCAD Awards Directors as requested
- Other duties as requested and required
Requirements:
Essential:
- Completion of High School Diploma
- Previous experience in an administrative role (1-2 years)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, including Docs, Sheets, Groups and Gmail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision
Desirable:
- Post secondary education in Business Administration
- Knowledge of the film and television industry
- Interest in costume arts and design
- Experience working in a non-profit or not-for-profit environment
There is a possibility that the initial contract will be extended for the right candidate. The position will be largely office based but there is the opportunity for flexible hours and occasional working from home.
The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a flare for organization and the ability to be flexible, working longer hours when required.
