About this position

Calvert Impact Capital works with a broad range of investors and their financial advisors to grow the understanding of impact investing and get capital working to address pressing social and environmental challenges around the globe. This role will be critical in our ability to grow the Community Investment Note program by engaging customers through marketing, sales, customer service, and administration. We are seeking a team player that is a strong communicator and can adapt and respond to various responsibilities in a mission-driven, fast-paced, service-oriented culture. While there will be core responsibilities, there will be a lot of room to grow as the business unit and strategy evolves.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Work with investors and financial advisors to inform them about Calvert Impact Capital’s investment programs and portfolio
  • Help the firm build deep relationships through consistent outreach and engagement by email, phone, and in-person meetings
  • Research and propose new customers and ways to engage them
  • Support diligence requests and reporting to institutional investors and financial services firms
  • Provide professional customer service on incoming inquiries
  • Contribute to strategic communications and content development
  • Support external meetings and conferences, and insure proper follow-up
Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings:
  • Interest and commitment to Calvert Impact Capital’s mission and impact
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, ideally with experience in sustainable, responsible, and impact investing
  • Customer service and sales/business development experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate by phone and email to a variety of audiences
  • Systems and process-minded, with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • A collaborative, team-first attitude
  • Ability to work from Calvert Impact Capital’s offices in Bethesda, MD (outside of Washington, DC)
  • Ability to travel as necessary
