Role Summary:
 
Workplace wellness is a proactive approach to identifying health risks in the employee population and investing in targeted interventions to reduce those health risks. Health and Wellness is Sun Life’s Group Benefits prevention solution, a strategic offering that incorporates assessment, targeted programming and evaluation activities for employers.
            
Health and Wellness Consultants are an integral team of prevention experts accountable for managing client relationships and overseeing program planning, execution and reporting.  
 
Effective relationships with client contacts and internal partners such as Account Executives, Health and Wellness Coordinators, Marketing and Communications, Translation and others will help facilitate successful outcomes for the activities included in this role.
 
Main Accountabilities
 
Health and Wellness Consulting/Client Account Management:
  • Lead the proactive dialogue with clients around the best in class approach to implementing the Sun Life Health and Wellness offering
  • Work with the Sun Life Group Benefits team and clients in a positive, proactive manner to ensure client expectations are being met
  • Lead effective client meetings and presentations by conference call, webinar and face to face
  • Manage the successful implementation and measurement of wellness initiatives in cooperation with the Health and Wellness Coordinator
  • Review and approve program tools and materials prior to program implementation (e.g. communications, website, registration set-up, etc.)
  • Write program reports including initiative results as well as provide data insights and related recommendations for future program development
  • Manage client budgets and renewal process including contracts, pricing and program operating plans
  • Demonstrate an exceptional level of organization and detail-orientation in order to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Actively seek to find solutions to implementation issues and process improvements
Relationship Building:                    
  • Liaise with Health and Wellness Coordinators, Account Executives, Client Relationships Director and others to ensure overall client expectations are being met and a high level of customer service is provided
  • Work with preferred provider contacts (i.e. nursing vendors, educational speakers) to ensure appropriate set up and delivery of wellness programs
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure program remains on track, including all programs, processes and contract obligations
Competencies:
  • Sound knowledge of workplace wellness practices
  • Experience managing client relationships and providing excellent customer service
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent presentation development and delivery skills
  • Expert ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Integrity, customer focus and the ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Self-starter and results-oriented
  • High comfort level with ambiguity
  • Proactive approach to staying current as it relates to best in class practices for workplace wellness implementation
  • Post-secondary education in workplace wellness
  • University degree in science or health-related field is preferred
  • Post-graduate diploma in health-related field is an asset
  • Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience in the workplace wellness field
  • Experience working with sales force is an asset
  • Bilingual or some conversational French an asset
  • Experience in group benefits an asset
