Status: Regular Part-time – 28 hours per week
Wage Rate: $33.17-36.70/hour (upon experience) Including Benefit Package
Shift Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Use of Personal Automobile: No
Reports To: Program Manager

Cythera Transition House Society is currently accepting applications for a female Stopping the Violence Counsellor at its Counselling Centre.

This position is responsible for providing individual and group counselling from a woman-centered and trauma-informed perspective. The Stopping the Violence Counsellor will provide support to women impacted by various forms of abuse. A complete job description is available upon request.
Qualifications required are:
     • Bachelor’s Degree in a related human/social service field plus two (2) years experience working with women who have experienced abuse.
     • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

This position requires B.C.G.E.U. membership and an acceptable Criminal Records Check.
