About this position
Calvert Impact Capital works with a broad range of investors and their financial advisors to grow the understanding of impact investing and get capital working to address pressing social and environmental challenges around the globe. Institutional investors include a full range of foundations, faith-based organizations, and other nonprofits, as well as corporations, mutual funds, banks, and other financial institutions. This role will be critical in our ability to grow our investment programs by engaging institutional investors and their financial advisors/consultants through education, relationship management, marketing, sales, customer service, administration, and strategic partnerships. We are seeking a highly-motivated professional with experience managing institutional and financial professional relationships that is excited by Calvert Impact Capital’s mission and growing the impact investing field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with institutional investors and financial advisors/consultants to inform them about Calvert Impact Capital’s Community Investment Note and Syndications programs
- Help the firm build deep relationships through consistent outreach and engagement
- Develop Calvert Impact Capital’s industry positioning and contributions
- Manage institutional due diligence requests and reporting
- Travel to participate in external meetings and conferences
- Support investment platform development, systems integration, and business intelligence
- Contribute to customer and industry service-oriented culture and operational excellence
The ideal candidate brings:
- A demonstrated commitment to Calvert Impact Capital’s mission and impact
- 7+ years of experience in financial services, ideally with experience in sustainable, responsible, and impact investing
- Professional institutional relationship management and business development experience
- Proven management capabilities, including ability to be both strategic and consistently execute on work plans
- Strong written and verbal communication and public presentation skills to a variety of audiences
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- A collaborative, team-first attitude
- Systems and process-minded, with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel experience preferred
- Ability and desire to travel up to 33% of the time
