SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives, and also accountable to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Capital Officer, the Manager will play a critical role in the strategic expansion and strengthening of TAS’s private equity platform. Our ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who brings an all-around skillset and excellent business acumen to the role. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Commerce/ Business Administration; professional designations (i.e., CFA, CPA) and/or post-graduate degrees are considered assets
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, real estate, private equity, corporate finance or similar environment
  • Capital raising experience considered an asset, ideally on behalf of a real estate private equity or development firm targeting primarily North American, European, and UK institutional and Family Office investors
  • Able to distill and synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative information into presentations for executive team members and investors
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling; robust analytical and quantitative skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, with extensive hands-on experience creating executive and/or board materials
  • Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities under tight timelines
  • Sound planning prioritization, organization, and execution skills
  • Entrepreneurial with a high level of integrity and ownership, operates with urgency when required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships and influence at all levels
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Curious and collaborative, with a strong drive for innovation and creative problem solving
  • Passionate, with a demonstrated interest in city-building and/or social impact
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Contribute to and/or lead a wide range of special projects on behalf of company executives. Projects managed may relate to corporate strategy, financial modeling, investor relations, capital raising, operations, competitive analysis or a range of other topics
  • Lead the execution of a robust investor relations framework, including direct relationship cultivation and stewardship strategies, fund investment reporting, responding to information requests or a range of other topics
  • Actively contribute to fundraising efforts through the preparation of marketing materials and provision of data for investor communications
  • Support debt financing process by populating detailed financial models for lenders: acquisition loans, strategic refinancing, construction loans, etc.
  • Engage in ESG and impact investing research, best-practices and networks
  • Recommend and implement processes, systems and tools to improve team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the team, help strengthen cross-functional effectiveness
  • Deepen personal understanding of TAS strategy on an ongoing basis
  • Embody and contribute to TAS Culture
