FULL-TIME & PART-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS (For our Community Residential Homes)

(Full-time: 35-40 hours per week)

(Part-time: 16-34 hours per week)

Various locations in OTTAWA & Surrounding Areas

We are looking for passionate Direct Support Professionals (Support Workers) to come along side people who experience disabilities to build communities that value their contributions. Your goal will be to enhance their quality of life by promoting their personal growth.

In this role, you will be supporting people who live in community residential homes (group homes/ apartments) where we provide 24/7 support. This bring opportunity to foster community inclusion, assist with activities of daily living (including personal care), working collaboratively with families, advocates, friends, and community partners in order to promote full citizenship and enhance relationships.

We value flexibility in one's schedule to meet our person-centered support needs. Our schedules often include a rotation of days, evenings and working alternating weekends with occasional overnights.

Pending one's skills and availability the successful candidate may work in one supported-living residential home or a collection of homes (i.e. 4 homes) in a community flex position.

Our homes are located throughout the Ottawa region so access to reliable transportation may be required to be considered for some opportunities.

Requirements:

• 3-6 Months’ Experience.
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field, is preferred;
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check;
• Satisfactory 3-year Uncertified Driver’s Abstract;
• Valid G Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
