The Member Services team is seeking a dynamic individual passionate about exceptional volunteer management, engagement, and recognition.

GGC is actively searching for our next Coordinator, Member Recognition & Engagement

The Coordinator, Member Recognition & Engagement will:

  • Monitor trends and evolving best practices in volunteer management and volunteerism and share expertise with network of volunteer managers at the organization and provide input on programs and activities at GGC.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate member support systems, including engagement and recognition programs.
  • Coordinate the administration, evaluation and ongoing improvements for the national scholarship program that supports members as they pursue their educational goals.
  • Coordinate the annual national girl awards program that aligns with GGC’s mission and vision, including administration, evaluation and ongoing improvements.
  • Develop and coordinate the annual National Volunteer Week recognition program.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the typical GGC member lifecycle, which is used to support and inform the design of programs and processes at the organization.
  • Using volunteer management best practices, assist in the development of the volunteer value proposition, which is essential in establishing growth and retention strategies.
  • In collaboration with research staff, monitor and evaluate member satisfaction including supporting the development and execution of member satisfaction and exit surveys.
  • Research and recommend new member support, management and retention strategies, and engage appropriate internal stakeholders and networks.
  • In collaboration with the member communications staff, support and develop communications to engage the membership.
  • Provide support to member liaisons, scholarship teams, and other recognition-based committees.

  • You have experience in being a liaison with active volunteers.
  • You have experience developing and executing volunteer engagement and recognition activities.
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fluid environment.
  • You have experience working in the not-for-profit sector, additional asset if in a youth-serving organization or an organization focused on gender equality.
  • You hold a relevant post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field of study.
