Job Description

Our ideal candidate brings an extremely high level of creativity, passion, and leadership to the role. You will lead Rumie’s sales, corporate partnerships, fundraising, and stewardship activities. The candidate will work to achieve financial growth and sustainability of Rumie by effectively identifying, cultivating and securing new sales consistent with the organizational goals. You will play a key role in helping to bring digital education to communities who need it, by advocating their stories and also help transform the way corporate partners conduct their social responsibility by combining funding with skill-sharing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Rumie corporate partnership strategy; identify, prioritize and maintain strong working relationships with key corporate stakeholders and prospects
  • Develop pitches/proposals and sponsorship packages; conduct ongoing research on new corporate funding prospects
  • Execute against sales strategy, tracking results and have the ability to re-strategize creatively to ensure targets are being met
  • Personally prospect and engage senior/executive level executives and decision-makers
  • Work with the leadership team to pitch, present proposals and negotiate terms
  • Collaborate with our marketing and creative teams to build impactful sales collateral
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry trends and competitive environment

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Communications, Education, or a related field
  • Established track record in sponsorship, sales or corporate partnerships (3-5 years experience)
  • A proven understanding of the complete sales cycle from rapport building, needs analysis through to objection handling, closing and effective pipeline management
  • Professionalism and ability to work closely with and sell to senior-level executives and corporate partners
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up their sleeves and execute to get the job done.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to write, network, and communicate in a friendly and clear manner
  • Is a natural problem solver, has the energy and drive to deliver best-in-class work and can adapt to a range of time and budget constraints
  • A commitment to Rumie’s mission and enthusiasm for learning about all aspects of Rumie’s impact
