GGC is actively searching for our next Advocacy Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading girl-driven organization in a role that will influence decisions and shape public debates, conversations and policies on issues that promote the development, health and well-being of girls and young women.

The Advocacy Coordinator will support the development of girl-driven, evidence–based positions on priority issues impacting girls and young women, support the development and implementation of advocacy and thought leadership initiatives to contribute to GGC’s unique insights to public debates/discussions/decisions on issues impacting girls/young women, coordinate opportunities for girls/young women to advocate, monitor political/social/economic development of issues that impact girls/young women and provide strategic advice on opportunities for action, support our volunteers and staff , and so much more.

The model candidate will hold a relevant post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field of study, have a minimum of 3 years’ experience and demonstrated success in a broad range of advocacy and stakeholder relations responsibilities preferably in a youth serving organization or an organization focused on gender equality, experience building relationships with stakeholders including decision-makers, thought leaders and advocates in government, community, business and media, superior planning, organization, problem-solving and time management skills, proficiency in MSOffice, superior communications (written and oral)presentation development and delivery, research and analytical skills, and the ability to work both with a team and independently.
