Through the TTS programs, GCC invests up to $1M CAD into innovations using venture philanthropy and impact investing models. The innovations supported through the TTS program include bold ideas that achieved their proof-of-concept using funds from GCC as well as those that did so through our partners, including the Skoll Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. To date, GCC has funded 28 projects in 18 developing countries through the TTS program.

Producing ResultsTo date, we have supported almost 700 projects totaling $174 million implemented in more than 80 countries and have leveraged $224 million in additional funding from outside the Government of Canada, including significant private sector investment.

New partnerships catalyzed and networks forged that will foster and advance global health, including the Mental Health Innovation Network, the Saving Brains Partnership (a landmark partnership for Early Child Development) and an ecosystem of private investors with new and reaffirmed interest in the global health sector as a viable use of their energy and dollars.
